"And it's whispered that soon
If we all call the tune
Then the piper will lead us to reason.
And a new day will dawn
For those who stand long
And the forests will echo with laughter."

It's so cool to be uncool
It's so right to be unright
It's so good to look so bad
Isn't this the best thing you ever had?Collapse )

I wish I could update but you know... Working, keeping the cats fed and clean, working some more, yoga, family, surya namaskar, eating... Yeah, no time.

Worse than not updatding? I feel bad for not reading you guys, so I thought I'd offer something that is guaranteed to make up for my being a horrible friend:

As you might know Diego has always been a very artistic cat:Collapse )

After all, he was named after the great Diego Rivera.

Now he's trying to convince the world he should have been used for the "Cats" poster:

There's plenty I wish I could update about but it's Monday and it's a big day at work so I'm running out of time; I'll be back in the evening though.
If you can, send me a good thought as today's my first day back and a lot depends on how it goes today.

Have a good Monday, my friends.
People. Lots of them.Collapse )

"If you want to identify me, ask me not where I live, or what I like to eat, or how I comb my hair, but ask me what I am living for, in detail, ask me what I think is keeping me from living fully for the thing I want to live for." Thomas Merton

Download: Putumayo presents World Yoga

This is fast becoming one of my favorite yoga CDs due to its diversity. If you practice yoga and/or like soothing music, then you should totally download it.

"Drawing on contemplative sounds from Wales to Tibet and Armenia to Uganda, this collection leads listeners to deeper relaxation and connection with life. With an engaging balance of more traditional yoga sounds—mantra-based pieces with Indian elements—and unexpected acoustic gems from Africa and beyond, World Yoga reflects the practice’s planetary impact and grace.

“Yoga has become a global experience, and we wanted to expand the music beyond the traditional soundtrack,” explains long-time yoga instructor and musician Sean Johnson, who advised on the album and contributed the beautiful chant “Ramachandra.” “We tried to reflect yoga’s full geographic scope.”

I am doing a much needed "clean up" and removing inactive journals and communities. Please don't feel this is a "cut", it's just my obsessive nature telling me to clean.

This might just be one of the most inspiring women in the world.
She talks about how one single story shouldn't but usually does define a people. I’m sure there are many misconceptions about Brazil because of the “single story.”
